"I am so very thankful to your school, not only for the educational aspects it provides, but for the caring, loving approach that Katherine received when she attended the program."

Porter's SUMMER Programs
Located in the center of Farmington, Connecticut, Porter’s is a college preparatory boarding and day school for girls in grades nine through 12. Founded in 1843 by lifelong scholar and educator, Sarah Porter, our school’s dynamic, rigorous approach to education prepares girls to expand their minds and grow into socially engaged, confident young women.
Our Summer Programs are designed to provide girls the opportunity to experience Porter's academic, artistic, athletic and residential curriculum and community. Girls thrive in our supportive and collaborative environment where curiosity and confidence are encouraged, and they complete their programs with a greater understanding of all they can accomplish as informed, bold, resourceful, ethical citizens. For more information, please contact the Office of Admission at 860-409-3530 or by email at email@example.com.
Porter's Summer Programs are for girls entering grades seven through nine. Pricing, except for Porter's CHAT, is $1,250 for each session, inclusive of all meals, housing and activities.
**Non-native English speakers must enroll in Porter's CHAT if they do not score an 80 or above on the TOEFL. If a student has not taken the TOEFL they must have at least 2 years of English in their home school and submit by email a graded English essay. We reserve the right to assess students’ English skills upon arrival and place them in the English Immersion program should their language abilities inhibit their effective participation in or enjoyment of the program of their choice.**
Porter’s graduates leaders who have the vision, determination, character, and capacity to shape a changing world. Sarah Porter Leadership Institute Level 1 offers girls opportunities to learn, practice, and hone the necessary skills to be a strong female leader. Each day, girls will encounter exciting challenges to facilitate discovery of their personal leadership styles. Leadership activities will focus on problem solving, skill development, teamwork, and trust. Guest speakers, community service, and a visit to a ropes course provide forums for personal reflection and goal setting.
Girls who have attended the Sarah Porter Leadership Institute Level 1 gain more extensive leadership experience in Level 2 as they learn to participate both as team members and as leaders as they resolve conflicts, solve problems, and take risks. The program includes an off campus two-night camping and whitewater rafting trip, community service in the Hartford area, and a culminating experience on the high ropes.
Cost: $1250 per session
