Ancient Sarah Wolf ’96 will lead a discussion on challenging gender bias and inequity in private and public spaces. Listen as Carolina Trevisi Fuentes ’96 and Divya Prakash ’09 share their career journeys. They will share how they have woven a gender focus into their roles. Carolina will dive into her work in gender equality in the private sector. Divya will talk about her research in the area of development work and the measurable differences in how natural disasters impact women. 

There are many reasons to remain positive about gains in gender equality and gender equity. The discussion will include how to be more conscious of gendered environments. They will also cover methods we can all use to support women we mentor and collaborate with.

Divya Prakash ’09

Divya Prakash has worked in project management, C-suite recruiting, and English teaching in Vietnam. Her research on gender and social inclusion of disaster resilience programming in South Asia was presented to UNESCAP. She currently works in the field of international development, something she finds rewarding (but remains critical of). She is one of the founders of the Gender Working Group at her organization and is at the beginnings of a new research project on gender and the evaluation of infrastructure projects. Divya and her partner are exploring ideas for a venture to raise awareness of every day, unintentional ways women are excluded from the picture.

Carolina Trevisi Fuentes ’96

Carolina Trevisi Fuentes works at the International Labor Organization, a UN agency devoted to the promotion of social justice and decent work. Trevisi manages the global SCORE Program (Swiss and Norwegian funded) in Colombia. SCORE focuses on increasing productivity and improving work conditions in SMEs and organizations of the social and solidarity economy. 

Sarah Wolf ’96

Sarah Wolf is litigation Counsel in the New York office of Debevoise & Plimpton in the firm’s White Collar & Regulatory Defense Group. Her practice focuses on sensitive and internal investigations, regulatory defense and compliance advice. In addition to her significant experience representing and advising corporate and individual clients, Sarah also has experience representing indigent clients in Federal criminal court following a secondment with the Federal Defenders of New York. She devotes a significant amount of time to the pro bono representation of individuals on death row in Alabama. Sarah spends her “free time” chasing her three young children.
