Varsity Basketball Heads to New England Championships

Porter’s varsity basketball team wrapped up its regular season schedule this Saturday with a decisive win over Founders League rival Loomis Chaffee, defeating the Pelicans 81-61 with the help of a large and lively home crowd. The team also paid tribute to seniors Maggie Donohue, Genelle Green, Caroline Jadovich, Jennifer Loh, and Lexi Menard for their leadership, dedication, and talent.  

Porter’s heads into the postseason as the #4 seed and will play #5 Pomfret in the quarterfinal New England Championship game this Wednesday, February 29 at 3:00pm in the Crisp gym. Porter’s faced the class B rival earlier this season defeating, the Griffins 56-50.
