Porter's Student Photographer Earns National Recognition

Senior Mairi Poisson has earned national recognition in The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards of 2012, presented by the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers. This year, 200,000 works of art and writing were submitted, with only the top 1,500 earning recognition at the national level.

Mairi won an American Vision Medal Award in Photography. In recognition of her achievement, Mairi has been invited to attend a ceremony at Carnegie Hall and to participated in showcase events at Parsons The New School for Design in New York City.
