Parent Giving

Annual Fund donations made by families reflect their belief in and support of the mission of Miss Porter’s School to educate young women to become informed, bold, resourceful and ethical global citizens who will shape a changing world. The support provided by families of both current and past students is essential to the continued success of the school and underwrites a notable portion of the operating budget.

This year the Parent Leadership Committee is striving to reach a goal of $350,000, with 60 percent participation from current families.

Loyalty Societies

Miss Porter’s School would not be the exceptional institution it is today without the consistent support of its Ancients, families, and friends. Their annual contributions are foundational to our mission and demonstrate the kinship and strength of our community.

Daisy Chain Society – Donors who have loyally given to Miss Porter’s School consecutively since graduation. Donations of all amounts are recognized, and formal acknowledgement begins in the fifth year of giving. Members of the Daisy Chain Society will receive discounted fees for their Fifth Reunion.

The Ivy Society – Donors who make loyal gifts of any size to Miss Porter’s School for at least five consecutive years. Special recognition occurs at five, 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 years of consecutive giving. Consecutive years of giving are counted by fiscal year, which runs from July 1 to June 30. Benefits include recognition in the Annual Report and recognition at Reunion Weekend and Family Weekend.
