Porter's Cross Country places 10th at New England Division 1 Championships

On Saturday the Porter's Cross Country went to Avon to compete in the New England Division 1 Championship race for our final race. It was a chilly day and the varsity runners even had about ten minutes of snow at the beginning of their race! It being our "home" course, and the last race of a fulfilling and gratifying season, the team was undeterred by the weather. Varsity ran their best race today with every single runner achieving a PR. The Porter's varsity team placed 10th out of 14 teams, beating both Hotchkiss and Taft-- two teams we lost to last week at Founder's. JV was just as impressive with nearly every one of the runners also achieving a PR. A special shout out to Alexandra Poole '20. She finished 7th overall with a time of 19:44, and will be running in her second All Star race next weekend at St. Mark's. It has been a tremendous honor and privilege to work with every single person on this team, and I could not be more proud of everyone's hard work and dedication throughout the season.
