Porter's scored nine runs in the first two innings and never looked back in a 10-3 win on Kingswood-Oxford's turf. The first three batters--Jenna Hall ('20) and co-captains Juliana Diamantis ('20) and Jess Sardilli ('19)--combined to score seven runs in the first three innings. Sardilli was on base four more times, including a booming ground-rule double in the first to score Hall.
Sardili also pitched well, allowing single runs in the 1st, 3rd, and 5th and working out of jams with runners on base. She recorded eight strikeouts. Give credit to the third K-O pitcher who held us scoreless over the final four innings. She changed speeds and kept us off balance, inducing eight flyouts.
Porter's improves to 4-5 with three games remaining over the next week in this fast-moving season.
