The Miss Porter's field hockey team faced a quick and aggressive Kingswood-Oxford team in their opening game in West Hartford last week. Despite a positive start, with a penalty corner and two shots on goal in the first 5 minutes, the Porter's team struggled to maintain possession. By midway through the first half, KO had knocked in two quick goals, and Porter's struggled to adjust to the pace of the game. Although the game did not end in Porter's favor, the second half was much stronger and the team identified ways to strengthen efforts moving forward. Goalie Kami Vigilant ('20) started in goal and recorded 9 saves in the first half. Sophomore goalie Nia Carroll tended goal in the 2nd half, ending the game with 12 saves.
