vs. Westminster

Miss Porter's Varsity Soccer hosted Class A and Founders league opponents, Westminster (3-1-1) on Wednesday afternoon.
Westminster started brightly and was organized on both sides of the ball, in the early stages they asked questions of the girls in green. Midway through the first half Laura Gouvin '20 played a well-weighted pass to Sam Halligan '21 who opened the scoring. Shortly after Porter's Soccer made it 2-0 as Gouvin '20 found Kyla Gallagher '20 who hit the back of the net from 12 yards out. Halligan '21 then struck a beautiful free-kick for her 4th of the season after drawing a foul 22 yards out. Natalie Godoy '21 threaded Gouvin '20 through on goal to make it 4-0 before Marjorie Plants '21 played Gallagher '20 through for her 13th goal of the season. The score was 5-0 at the half and stayed the same for the rest of the game.
Each member of the team contributed valuable minutes as the squad welcomed back Jenna Hall '20 and Adi Botet '23 from their injuries.
Next up, Porter's Soccer (6-0-1) travel to Pomfret for what is always an exciting and close encounter
