An experienced Westminster team easily dominated the field against our young Porter's team. Porter's struggled to defend the quick passing of the Westminster forwards, and the score ballooned to 5-0 by halftime. After some adjustments to the lineup and formation, Porter's was able to hold Westminster off for most of the 2nd half, but a final flurry of corners and offensive pressure led to further defensive breakdowns and 3 more goals. Despite the disappointing outcome, Porter's saw strong play from midfielder Audrey McMillan ('20) and defender Georgia Finley ('22). With few subs due to injuries, the Porter's team turned to Nia Carroll ('22) for help, even though she regularly plays in goal. She suited up for a spot on the defensive line in this game and did a great job filling in at the last minute. Charlotte Hendrich ('23) also did a nice job in several different positions, playing wherever we needed assistance. Kami Vigilant ('20) tended goal, recording 17 saves in a challenging match against a talented Westminster squad. Porter's looks forward to regrouping in preparation for their next match against Taft this weekend.
