A relaxed game

Our second game against Ethel Walker this season felt like a comfortable game. I am sure the fact that Lauren scored within the first 20 seconds in the game had a lot to do with it.
Scoring that early gave us that peace of mind that allowed us to play without the anxiety of trying to score. We were able to move the ball from side to side and trying to create goal chances by making the field wide or putting the ball through their defense for the speed of Lauren and Jules.
There was good communication among our lines and we tried to not let the opponent create chances by putting pressure on the ball and try to steal the ball as soon as possible.
During the second half, Lauren and Julia Luppino scored two more goals for us and we won a game that seemed relaxed and always under control.
