Ms. Auriemma graduated from Porter’s in 2003 and went on to graduate from the University of Connecticut, where she received her bachelor of fine arts in drama. There, she received the audience choice award for best actress and participated in intramural basketball. In 2013, she received her master’s degree in English, focusing her studies on gender studies, children's literature, mythology, and adaptation theory. Before Porter’s, Ms. Auriemma taught English as an adjunct member of the English department for six and a half years. She is a member of the Children's Literature Association and regularly presents at its annual conference. As an Ancient, Porter’s holds a special place in Ms. Auriemma’s heart, as it helped her to become a better student, a more open-minded person, and a better citizen of the world. She returned as a teacher because she wants to give current students the same top-notch education she received, both in and out of the classroom.
Ms. Auriemma teaches English and serves as an advisor and coach of volleyball and basketball.
