Hur-shiu Webb joined Miss Porter's School in 2015 and has been working in education since 2003. She earned her BA at Washington University in St. Louis, where she majored in math and minored in art, then went on to earn her MA in mathematics education at the University of Texas at Austin. After graduate school, Ms. Webb remained in Austin, where she taught in both public and independent schools for 11 years, also serving as a college counselor, working on diversity initiatives, and coaching.
Ms. Webb and her husband, photography teacher Josh Bezdek, live on campus with their two children Beata and Andromeda, and fish Finliy.
She serves as mathematics department chair, faculty advisor to the Asian Student Alliance, cross country coach, and advisor.
