Ms. Neschke graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics from Trinity College, where she was also a member of the varsity crew team. After college, Ms. Neschke came to Porter’s as a part of a teaching fellowship with the University of Pennsylvania, teaching math and living in the dorms while she earned her master’s degree. For her inquiry project, she studied the implementation of a project-based introduction of material that allows students to explore new topics and maximizing the impact of prior knowledge and classmate experience on the learning process. After completing her master’s degree in 2015, Ms. Neschke and Porter’s both agreed that she was an excellent fit here and she decided to stay on as a member of the faculty.
Ms. Neschke lives on campus and teaches math and economics. She also coaches crew and basketball, and is an advisor.
