SUMMARY:Elderly Letter Writing Campaign: Uplift the spirit of seniors
DESCRIPTION:Although the Event has passed\, consider individual involvement with this project. \nSocial distancing has led older adults living in long term care facilities to be isolated from their loved ones. More than 8 million adults aged 50 and older are affected by isolation\, which the AARP notes can have profound physical and emotional impacts to quality of life. \nWe are excited to partner with Love for the Elderly for a letter writing/card campaign to the elderly.  Write one letter/card\, or many! These will be sent to Love for the Elderly who will distribute them to facilities with seniors who are in need of uplifting messages. Please see the following Guidelines. \nThank you to the New York City Ancient Team for researching and organizing this project. \nLisa M.
