DESCRIPTION:The Alumnae Board and Book Club co-chairs\, Nicole LaMotte ’88 and Mayanthi Fernando ’93 are excited to continue with the virtual Book Club for Miss Porter’s School Ancients! \nGoing forward\, the Book Club discussions will be hosted quarterly\, followed by new book announcements and discussions in July and September.  \nThere will be two discussion sessions to choose from\, with the goal to reach various time-zones.  Each discussion session will be capped at 20 guests in order to promote thoughtful discussion.  Event organizers are prepared to add a third session should the interest dictate.  All discussions will be hosted on Zoom.   \nWhen registering Ancients will choose one discussion session.  Upon the completion of registration\, participants will receive a unique Zoom Link. \n The co-chairs will look to the Ancient community for suggestions for subsequent books (July and September). Future book selections will be based on submissions presented\, selecting the book that has the most interest\, as well as balancing fiction and nonfiction suggestions. \n \nREGISTER BELOW

The MPS Alumnae Board’s DEIB Committee has undergone training with the Disruptive Equity Education Project on facilitating powerful\, intentional conversations to understand how we can collectively work to repair harm and ultimately act differently. \nThe ultimate goal will be to create space for Ancients to examine conscious and unconscious biases as individuals and as members of the MPS sisterhood\, and eventually work collectively to identify tools not just for increasing inclusion and belonging\, but moving us closer to true equity at School and in our Ancient community. \nSpace is limited. \nREGISTER BELOW
