Leadership Workshops and Retreats
All students participate in workshops throughout the year, centered on fostering core values and qualities. Each grade has their own theme, which also aligns with the grade-level themes for InterMission. In addition, specialized workshops for designated student leaders and athletics captains further develop their community and visionary leadership skills.
9th Grade: Mindfullness, Compassion, Curiosity
9th graders get acquainted with each other, as well as those who will support them during their time at Miss Porter's School, at on-campus orientation and workshops.
10th Grade: Courage, Resilience, Connection
The sophomore retreat is at Camp Jewell in Colebrook, Connecticut, where they continue to grow their leadership skills and take part in class bonding activities.
11th Grade: Integrity, Perspective, Competence
Juniors go to Camp Starfish in Rindge, New Hampshire to engage in conversations and activities surrounding cultural awareness, community building, and global citizenship.
12th Grade: Reflection, Influence, Agency
The senior class goes to Camp Woodstock in Woodstock, Connecticut, where they focus on team building and engage in conversations and activities surrounding their individual and collective legacy at Miss Porter's School.
