Annual Fund

In any given year, the Annual Fund provides between 10 to 13 percent of the school’s current operating budget, and helps to underwrite every element of the Porter’s educational experience – its rich academic and extracurricular programs, financial aid, faculty salaries, and maintenance of the school’s historic campus.

Thank You!

Your gift in Action

Every gift, no matter the size, makes an impact at Miss Porter’s School. Below are some possible ways in which your gift may be put to use.

Ancient Giving

Ancient participation to the Annual Fund is vital to maintaining a rigorous and dynamic education for our students, strengthening our athletic programs, and enhancing a young woman’s high school experience.

Class giving is a tradition which supports today’s students and teachers while honoring the past. Annual Fund gifts of every amount are an important way you can support the Miss Porter’s School mission. Matching gifts are an easy way to stretch your gift. Please click here for more information.

Parent and Family Giving

Annual Fund donations made by families reflect their belief in and support of the mission of Miss Porter’s School to educate young women to become informed, bold, resourceful and ethical global citizens who will shape a changing world. The support provided by families of both current and past students is essential to the continued success of the school and underwrites a notable portion of the operating budget.

Giving society

The Founder Society was established in 1973-74 to honor leadership donors to the school whose leadership support helps Miss Porter’s School to meet its educational priorities now and in the future.

Gifts from Founder Society members typically comprise 80 percent of the Annual Fund total. Clearly, Founder Society donors are essential to the continued success of the Annual Fund and to providing crucial support for the operating budget.

Loyalty Societies

Miss Porter’s School would not be the exceptional institution it is today without the consistent support of its Ancients, families, and friends. Their annual contributions are foundational to our mission and demonstrate the kinship and strength of our community.

Daisy Chain Society – Donors who have loyally given to Miss Porter’s School consecutively since graduation. Donations of all amounts are recognized, and formal acknowledgement begins in the fifth year of giving. Members of the Daisy Chain Society will receive discounted fees for their Fifth Reunion.
