Shaping a Changing World: Girls as Activists, Innovators and Leaders
July 10 – July 30, 2022
One, two or three weeks
Boarding or day student options
Exciting field trips to:
Boston
Hartford
New York City *
Each week, students will work collaboratively with their peers to examine a global issue through an interdisciplinary lens. Together they will work on an action-oriented project using design thinking while developing skills in the following competency areas:
- Critical Thinking
- Communication
- Creativity
- Civic Responsibility
- Self-Confidence
- Leadership
At the end of each week, they will present their projects to a group of parents and faculty.

Week 1: The Climate Crisis
July 17 – July 23, 2022
Week 2: Racial, Economic & Gender Inequality
July 24 – July 30, 2022
Week 3: Inequitable Access to Healthcare & Impacts of the Pandemic
Tuition:
- Day: $950/week, 3 meals/day, 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. daily program, including afternoon activities and Discovery Evening Programs
- Boarding: $1500/week
In this program, students will:
- understand and appreciate diverse perspectives;
- become better informed about pressing global and local issues;
- understand your connection to the wider world;
- learn how to respectfully communicate and collaborate across differences;
- and take action on pressing global issues.
Our fully immersive program is uniquely designed to take students out of the classroom and into the world, while learning, making new friends, and developing key skills that will help high school girls become catalysts for change.
