Miss Porter’s School would like to acknowledge the contributions students, Ancients, and coaches have made to the world of athletic endeavors and inspire current and future Ancients to seek the highest level of competition and excellence in sports. The Athletics Hall of Fame will recognize excellence in training, competing, and winning as well as honor stories of perseverance, innovation, teamwork, and character.

The Inaugural Athletics Hall of Fame program was held on Wednesday, February 7, National Women in Sports Day 2018. On this day, we celebrated the first inductees into the Miss Porter’s School Athletics Hall of Fame: golfer Carol Semple Thompson '66 and swimmer Kathrine Fugge McNamara '06.

If you were unable to join us in Farmington, you may view Carol Semple Thompson's remarks, or watch the entire ceremony via livestream.

Inductions into the Athletics Hall of Fame will not take place annually, but form time to time Miss Porter's School will induct new members. When we do intend to do so, we will seek nominations; former nominators are encouraged to refresh their prior submissions.
