Located in the center of Farmington, Connecticut, Porter’s is a college preparatory boarding and day school for girls in grades nine through 12. Founded in 1843 by lifelong scholar and educator, Sarah Porter, our school’s dynamic, rigorous approach to education prepares girls to expand their minds and grow into socially engaged, confident young women.
Our Summer Programs are designed to provide middle school girls (current 5th-8th graders) the opportunity to experience Porter's academic, artistic, athletic and residential curriculum and community and learn lifelong leadership skills from the leader in girls' education. Girls thrive in our supportive and collaborative environment where curiosity and confidence are encouraged, and they complete their programs with a greater understanding of all they can accomplish as informed, bold, resourceful, global, ethical citizensPrograms fill on a first-come first-serve basis. International students are required to submit a TOEFL score and schedule a Skype interview with Kat Simison prior to registering for all programs other than Global Language and Leadership Institute. For Global Language and Leadership Institute, only a Skype interview is required.
