In any given year, the Annual Fund provides between 10 to 13 percent of the school’s current operating budget, and helps to underwrite every element of the Porter’s educational experience – its rich academic and extracurricular programs, financial aid, faculty salaries and maintenance of the school’s historic campus.
In fiscal year 2016–2017, the Annual Fund has raised a record $2,216,790 — thank you to everyone who donated and helped us achieve this success! Some of the highlights from the year include:
- Class with the most dollars raised: 1986 with $159,075
- Class with highest participation overall: 1955 with 68% participation

The Silver Pitcher
The Silver Pitcher Award is presented to the class not celebrating Reunion, who has yet to celebrate their 50th Reunion, with the largest increase in class participation. This year, the Silver Pitcher will be awarded to the Class of 1980 whose work yielded an increase in 10.5% from 2016 to 2017. Congratulations!
The Annual Giving Bowl
The Annual Giving Bowl is presented to the class not celebrating Reunion, who has yet to celebrate their 50th Reunion, that achieves the highest participation in the Annual Fund. The Class of 1985 reached an outstanding 51% participation in the Annual Fund. Congratulations!
