We had a great game against Ethel Walker School, even though the game didn't end in our favor! Everyone was hustling and very enthusiastic during both halves. We had lots of great passes and great shots -- just wish a few more had gone in! Our defense was also first rate. The girls worked hard to not give up easy shots and to grab steals and blocks. Congrats to Tyler, Tiara, Noknoi, and Georgina for their scores!
This was our first game against KO in a while! It was fun having them back on our schedule. We started off the game strong and in the lead. We worked hard to have good passes and get some shots off. After a bit, KO was able to break our defense and grab a number of shots. Everyone gave their best effort and remained positive throughout the game. Congrats to Julie, Tyler. Geprgoma. Noknoi, and Mareme for their scores!
We only had 6 players for our game at Northfield Mt. Hermon, but these 6 put up a mighty fight! They played with lots of energy and enthusiasm; the other coach even congratulated us on our hard work at the end of the game. We hit a couple three point shots, which was exciting, and executed a new offensive play. We will look forward to having the rest of the team back together next week!
We had our first game as a united team again after InterMission. We were also excited to welcome our newest player, Astrid Voss. Although we didn't win, we put up a hard fight! We played excellent defense, with many steals which led to fast breaks, and lots of good rebounds. Offensively, we worked on passing the ball around and setting screens. We will continue to work on our communication and sharp passes. Onto the next game!
JV Basketball had our first W of the season, and wow, what an exciting game it was!! During the first half, the game was fairly even, but our girls were giving it their all on the court. We were running some new plays and hustling on both offense and defense. In the second half, we were able to break away and take the lead! We really stepped up our defense -- challenging the ball, shuffling our feet, and boxing out. We had many people score, including Tyler making 2 3 pointers! We appreciate the support of so many fans, but were especially excited to see two former players -- Audrey and Georgie cheering us from the stands!
