  • Porter's vs. Westover

Porter's came out strong today in the 80 degree heat to take on Westover. Playing on grass made ground balls a challenge, but Porter's communicated well and played aggressively. Porter's longer passes through the midfield have significantly improved and contributed to achieving and maintaining posession. Goalies Cherise & Meg were able to defend Porter's goal, only letting in 1 goal the first half and 2 in the second. Gini, Lauren, Eliza, Sofie, Tiara, Gretchen, and Amelia had their first (and second in Gini, Lauren & Eliza's case) goal of the season - congrats! Lizzy (2), Meg (2), Emma (1), Cassie (1), Kate (1), and Kayleen(1) also scored. While many goals were break aways from the draw, Porter's midfield and attack also capitalized on strong cuts and quick shots. Porter's defense played a combination of their normal zone and man to man, matching Westover's players. All around, it was a great game and we look forward to facing Westover next year.

Next up, Westminster to end the season!

  • Porter's vs. Kent

On our rainy season day, Porter's JV lax played one of their best games yet! It was a close game at the beginning of the second half, but Porter's stepped up their game and brought 110% through the second half. Midfielder Emma V. scored 1 goal, Meg K. scored 3 goals, and attacker Lizzy M. scored 3. In the second half, Porter's defense and goalie Cherise didn't let a single shot lead to a goal. Porter's brought heart and grit to the field on Saturday and we hope to keep up the momentum during our last week of the season!

  • Porter's vs. Hotchkiss

Hotchkiss was one of JV lacrosse's toughest games of the season. Porter's worked tirelessly on defense, holding a strong zone and keep Hotchkiss out to the best of their ability. Late into the second half, attacker Lizzy M. was able to avoid a shut out with a great goal. Other attackers and midfielders tried to follow suit, but Hotchkiss's defense and goal put up a good fight.
