The Alumnae Board Announces the International Day of Service - October 19, 2019

Becoming a global citizen is a lifelong learning process that begins with one’s self.
Sarah Porter, upon the foundation of Miss Porter’s School, recognized the value and importance of service to others and believed that women must be prepared to shape the future for a changing world. We know our Ancients are actively engaged in meaningful work by profession and/or passion. To celebrate, the Alumnae Board of Directors is proud to introduce the International Day of Service.

You can help shape a changing world through the first-ever Miss Porter's School International Day of Service! On October 19, 2019, join Ancients at efforts in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, London, New York City, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C. to complete service opportunities.

Not close to a host city? You are encouraged to organize your own community service event and share your efforts on social media. Please contact us if you are interested in organizing a project.

For questions or to join a service group in one of the host cities, please contact Co-Chairs Maggie Johndrow ’06 or Caroline Udelhofen ’07. Mark your calendar for October 19 and check back here for additional details as they become available.
