    Celebrating the team's lone senior, Benz Ritphu, Porter's pushed past Forman in an exciting game. With 9 different players scoring, this game was led in points by Maddie Bevier and Hiyo Kobari. Senior Benz Rithpu also had a strong game with 6 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. Defensively, the team was led by Elizabeth Akzomalafe and Lia Howhannesian who both pulled multiple rebounds to help the team in their efforts.

    In this very tight game against Miss Hall's, Porter's was led offensively by Hiyo Kobari, Maddie Bevier, Lucy Newmyer, and Elizabeth Azomalafe. The team was ahead of Hall's in the first half but, after a tight third quarter, fell by two points. The team, however, tried incredibly hard and led the books in shots taken!

While Porter's kept up with NMH for the first two quarters, during the third quarter NMH went on a scoring run, pushing them past the Thirds Team. However, Porter's came back in the fourth quarter with key plays by Maddie BeVeir, Lucy Newmyer, and Lia Howhannesian.

    Victory! The third's basketball team started their season with a solid victory over Deerfield Academy, a team that brought height and speed that presented a continuous challenge for our team. MPS players were well-conditioned, communicated and made adjustments throughout the game, all which cemented the win, 22-20. This team of students has great talent and to see each and every person contribute made the win even sweeter.

  • Third's Basketball Against Marianapolis Prep

    Third's Basketball had a hard fought loss against Marianapolis Prep at home this past Wednesday. While, initially, the team's energy was a bit low, by the second quarter, the team started making strong defensive plays and scoring off of jump shots and rebounds. Overall, it was a communal, strong effort that demonstrates the team's tremendous growth over the course of this season. Porter's will be at home this Saturday against Northfield Mount Hermon.
