On an absolutely gorgeous day for golf, Porter's had the opportunity to play on one of the finest courses in the state. While the competition was strong, each player had important moments of success and flagged specific areas for improvement. This was also first year student Frankie LaBow's debut match. She did a wonderful job on the fairways and with her short game. Next up, Loomis Chaffee and the Williston Northampton School.
On a sunny, but windy afternoon at Tunxis, Miss Porter's School's golf team opened its season in solid fashion against Choate, tying in match play 2.5 to 2.5. The teams went back and forth over the nine holes. It was a great first step for Porter's as the team seeks to improve its game over the next two months.
