Director of Athletics; Head Coach, Varsity Soccer

Avi Dubnov is the Director of Athletics and Head Coach of Varsity Soccer at Porter’s School. He holds a master’s degree in Organizational Psychology, a USSF National A-License, and an NSCAA Advanced National Diploma. Under Avi’s leadership, the soccer team has achieved remarkable success, securing six Founders League championships and four WWNEPSSA titles, while ranking No. 1 three times among 47 schools. His coaching excellence has earned him numerous accolades, including Coach of the Year honors from both WWNEPSSA and NSCAA, as well as the prestigious M.D. Nadal Sportsmanship Award from the Founders League.

 

Since 2017, under Avi’s guidance, Porter’s soccer has produced four All-Americans, nine All-New England selections, and 30 All-State athletes, with 20 going on to play at the collegiate level. Between 2020 and 2025, over 50 student-athletes from the school have committed to competing in collegiate sports.

Originally from East London, Avi resides on campus with his wife, Amber, and their children, Darcie and Bowen.
