GIVING
QUICK LiNKS

Because she will.

Miss Porter’s School was built by women. For generations, women have given their time, their advocacy and their money to sustain and catalyze exceptional education for girls. They have used their power to ensure that Miss Porter’s School endures, educating each new generation of girls for the futures they will define for themselves.

Generous donations from our Ancients, parents, grandparents and friends allows Porter’s to care for our historic campus, provide tuition assistance to families, fund global learning experiences for every student, pay teachers well and keep the lights on. From opportunity to action, and from scholarships to endowment: every gift – your best gift – strengthens Sarah Porter’s founding mission.

Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is an important tool, funding ten to thirteen percent of the school’s operating budget every year.

Here is where most donors invest in the everyday excellence that is a hallmark of Miss Porter’s School. Gifts of all sizes immediately impact our students through the collective power of your philanthropy.

The trustees of Miss Porter’s School adhere to a long-term financial model built around a disciplined spending policy of 4.5% annually, which balances impact today with institutional endurance. At that spending rate, approximately $66.7 million in new endowment dollars would be required to generate the same impact as $3 million in annual, recurring support. When community members join together, their Annual Fund gifts are a powerful engine for Miss Porter’s School.

Gifts to the Annual Fund provide support for every student experience, life-shaping teaching and the sustainability of our historic campus, all designed for the most ambitious 21st century education for girls.

Make a one-time gift, make a monthly gift or make several gifts each year to the Annual Fund. Giving to MPS feels good and does good.
