Miss Porter’s School is pleased to introduce Courtney Grant as the new Campus Safety Supervisor. Grant began her tenure at Miss Porter’s School (MPS) in September 2019, and was primarily assigned to the overnight shift. She eventually transitioned to the evening shift, and has enjoyed the opportunity to interact with students and faculty. She has been impressed by the welcoming sense of community – and was pleased to accept the promotion in November 2020. In her new role, Grant aims to implement a multitiered approach to ensuring that the campus and the community within are protected while also incorporating safety and security programs throughout MPS. Grant is also interested to learn what the students and the Porter’s community expect from the campus safety team.
We are offering limited, in-person, outdoor-only tours of campus! Tours will be held on weekdays from January 4 through February 13.
As we continue to weather the dual pandemics of COVID-19 and racism in America, we have witnessed increasing tensions nationwide. Some might be shocked by the events, while others are not at all surprised by yet another manifestation of white supremacy. Today’s events in the nation’s capital are an expected and anticipated outcome of this pervasive, inflammatory, divisive rhetoric and a failure to act.
Enjoy performances by our Dance Workshop and Chorus students.
As we start the final countdown to 2021, we invite you to invest in the students of Miss Porter’s by making a gift to the Annual Fund. In 2020, the costs of creating a dynamic, safe and joyful in-person learning experience were extraordinary and frankly, we need your help to ensure that the rest of the academic year can be as successful as the fall has been.
On this Giving Tuesday, we invite you to directly help Miss Porter’s School offset the significant impact Covid-19 has had on our budget. In this unique fall, MPS was able to successfully welcome girls to campus for in-person classes, athletics, performing arts and leadership development. Being in Farmington, and working together, made all the difference for the girls of MPS, and philanthropy allowed school leaders to confidently execute our fall plan.
We are excited to announce that Miss Porter’s School will host a Game Day on Saturday, November 7, 2020, in collaboration with the Kent School!
Miss Porter’s School is excited to welcome Evadne Coache ’11 to the Counseling Center
