Ways to give back
to Miss Porter’s School.

There is strength in the testament of our Ancients — especially when they give back. Did you know that more than 500 Ancients give back every year as volunteers to serve our school?

Ancients’ work, of time and talents, on the schools behalf sends the strongest message to our own community and to prospective students and families.

Thank you for your continued belief in our mission!

Additional Service Opportunities
  • Share your career story with current students
  • Time commitment: less than 2 hours

In-person and virtual work

Volunteers serve as panelists who create meaningful dialogue between MPS seniors and Ancients to discuss the rewards and challenges of adulthood. Conversation centers around how MPS prepares students to “shape a changing world” so students learn that no two paths are alike.

  • Frequency: annual event
  • Volunteer up to 5+ hours on campus for the event

In-person work

At times MPS needs our Ancients’ expertise in a certain area to join a brainstorming session or working group. Keeping your industry and employment information up-to-date allows MPS to reach out about your skill set should an event suit you.

  • Frequency: sporadic

Virtual work

Our Worldwide Sit-down Dinner (WWSDD) tradition is all about gathering together to connect with fellow Ancients — whether via a dinner, appetizers, happy hour or brunch, hosts can sponsor the gathering or ask guest Ancients to contribute.

  • Plan the event, communicate with their guests, and share photos with MPS
  • Frequency: once per year
  • Volunteer up to 10 hours
