Here at Miss Porter's School, we refer to our cherished alumnae as Ancients. These women are the lifeblood of the larger Porter's community, one that extends across generations and continents to form the world's most powerful all-woman network. There is so much that unites graduates who have spent four years in Farmington, no matter if they are from the class of 2014 or 1944. We encourage you to make the most of this lasting relationship, connecting with your fellow Ancients to share tradition and uplift each other.

There are two ways to find classmates; both require that you log on first. One way is to choose “Activities,” then click your class year followed by your classmate’s name (while you’re there, you can find information on your other classmates as well!). Or, you can choose “Directory,” and either enter a last name, or choose “Advanced Search” and select a grad year.

Log on and go to “Directory.” Search “Ancient” and select “Advanced Search.” Select a region from the drop-down menu and then click “Find.” You can also use our Ancient app for iPhones and Android phones. Search for “Miss Porter’s School” in Apple’s App Store or in Google Play.

You can order one through our school store, The Ivy. Contact Store Manager Jennifer Wagor at 860-409-3655.

The Porter’s website has both public and password-protected areas. To protect Ancients’ privacy, all alumnae must log on to access the directory, Mentoring Network, class pages, and their individual profiles. Through their profiles, Ancients can select how much of their information they want shared on the password-protected directory. The policy on appropriate use of the directory is posted on the directory page.

For login problems, email Director of Information Technology Cheryl Costello at For questions about the directory or profile updates, contact Jose Lugo at

Your gift to the school really makes all the difference. No matter what size contribution you are able to make, your participation sends the message that you believe in the mission of Miss Porter’s School. The percentage of Ancients who contribute to the Annual Fund every year is a tangible measure that others such as foundations and prospective families look at closely when deciding whether to make a grant or send their daughters to the school. The higher the participation (which was just 40% in 2013-14), the stronger the message that those closest to the school value the experience they had, and want available to other girls.

The Annual Fund is not an extraneous luxury. Every year, the school anticipates that approximately 13% of the operating budget will be covered by the Annual Fund. This year, it is essential to raise $2.1 million through the Annual Fund. Quite simply, without it, the school can only operate at 89%. Each gift makes a difference in reaching that goal.
