Director of Porter's Center for Global Leadership & Auxiliary Programs

Sophie is the director of Porter’s Center for Global Leadership (PCGL) as well as of Auxiliary Programs. After earning a Bachelor of Arts with high honors in art and art history from Colgate University, Sophie began a 14-year career as a photojournalist for the United Nations (UN). In 2004, the UN sent her to Haiti, where she made her home until moving to Porter’s in 2012. Sophie has led innovative global and auxiliary initiatives at Miss Porter’s, including developing the Institute for Global Education, implementing the 11th grade Global Citizenship program, launching a Global Studies Certificate diploma, and creating and launching PCGL’s programming for girls and women globally. Sophie loves traveling and exploring the great outdoors with her husband, son, and dog.
