Alschuler, Ericka

Associate Director of College Counseling

Ericka came to Porter’s in 2019 after almost 20 years working as a school counselor and assistant principal at a public high school in Massachusetts. In addition to her work in the College Office, she is a faculty advisor to the Multiracial Affinity, the assistant Thirds Basketball coach, and an admissions associate. She believes in the power of education to help students live the lives they envision for themselves. She is particularly excited about Porter’s innovative and forward-thinking approach to the education of young women and support of equity and inclusion.

She lives on campus with her daughter, Anika ‘24 and cat, Shinobu. Most weekends she heads back to Massachusetts to be with her husband Alfie and son Mason. Ericka loves to read and watch mysteries, knit socks, eat good food, and play board, word, and card games with my family and friends.
