Teacher - Humanities

Eileen is a humanities teacher, assistant JV field hockey coach and adviser to the school newspaper. A Class of 1993 Ancient and current parent, she is thrilled to be back in Farmington to teach — and learn from — students.
 
A longtime journalist, Eileen was the religion reporter for the Austin American-Statesman and taught religion reporting at the University of Texas for many years (Hook ’em!). She also taught journalism courses at St. Edward’s University and has worked as a freelance writer and book editor.
Eileen earned her bachelor’s degree in English/creative writing with a minor in philosophy from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in her hometown of North Adams, Massachusetts.
Eileen lives in the woods of Avon with her family and enjoys traveling, playing piano, analyzing Dylan lyrics, reading the print edition of the Wall Street Journal, and searching for good Mexican food.
