Kelly is a French teacher and chair of the Department of Modern and Classical Languages at Miss Porter’s School. She also coaches lacrosse in the spring. What she most enjoys about teaching is seeing students achieve things they never thought they could, like holding authentic discussions and presenting creative work in French. She loves teaching at a girls’ school and loves that there is always more for her to learn alongside her students. She can often be found in her classroom or in the evening study hall Language Lab meeting one-on-one with students to offer extra help, and she enjoys getting to know each student personally to learn what works best for them. Kelly lives on campus with her wife, Katie, and their daughter. When not at school, she enjoys hiking, camping, doing puzzles and spending time out West.
