Christine Scanlon teaches courses in chemistry at Miss Porter’s, focusing on hands-on lab-based learning to foster curiosity and critical thinking.
 
She is passionate about education, and in particular about providing opportunities for students to grow, explore their potential, and develop an interest in science. Christine has found that Porter’s commitment to empowering young women is remarkable.
 
Outside of the classroom, she supports students in scientific research opportunities and competitions that contribute to a vibrant learning community, such as the CT Science Fair and Science Olympiad.
 
Beyond work, Christine enjoys making art and rock climbing.
