Director of Summer Programs; House Director; Teacher - AIS Global

Emily is the director of Summer Programs, the House Director of Ward, and a teacher in the AIS Global Intensive program. Emily’s pedagogy is defined by the tenets instilled in her during her time as a Porter’s student: rigor, ritual, and relationships. After graduating from Miss Porter’s, Emily went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, serve in the Peace Corps, and earn a Master of Arts from George Washington University. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in education at George Washington University, where she is studying the effect of disability jargon on adolescent neurodevelopment. She lives in Farmington with her husband and two cats.
