Jess teaches a variety of math classes, including Algebra 2, Calculus 1, Statistics, AIS Statistics II and AIS Research Methods. In addition to teaching, she works closely with the New England Association of Schools and Colleges on issues related to school accreditation and serves as a ninth-grade advisor. She arrived at Porter’s in 2010 through a family geographic move and immediately knew she could never go back to a coed school. Porter’s students’ comfort with being silly one moment and scholarly the next made this the place she wanted to be. When not reading books about learning math, Jess is often cross-stitching, rehabbing furniture or meditating.
