Miss Porter’s School in Farmington, CT, offers state-of-the-art facilities available for rental — ideal for team practices, games, residential and day camps, and other special events. 

Our facilities include NCAA regulation turf fields, beautifully appointed and air-conditioned dorms, art and dance studios, a full-service dining hall, and inviting indoor and outdoor spaces.

With a blend of New England charm and modern, eco-friendly buildings, our campus provides a unique and flexible setting to fit your needs. Miss Porter’s School is ideally located in Central Connecticut (Farmington, West Hartford, Avon, Simsbury, Glastonbury) and is only 1.5 hours from Boston and 2 hours from New York.

Our SPaces

Classrooms

Varying in size and occupancy, all of our classrooms are equipped with projectors, screens, speakers and/or Apple TVs for your use.

The Crisp Athletics Center

This state-of-the-art facility houses NCAA regulations courts, an indoor track, fitness center and weight room, and classrooms. Crisp Gym has seating for 228 spectators with additional viewing from the indoor track upstairs, allowing a 360-degree aerial view.

Dormitories

Our dorms are all beautifully appointed with air-conditioning, designed to look and feel like private residences — providing the perfect environment for lodging for camps, workshops and multi-day events in the summer months. Note: Dorms are not available for rentals when school is in session.

Dr. Glenda Newell-Harris ’71 Student Center & Patio

Our newly renovated student center has a open two-level floor plan seating up to 80 people in various configurations. It has a small stage with state-of-the-art lighting, sound, projector and screen as well as a gas fireplace, kitchen and couches ready to host workshops, lectures, activities, performances and events. There is also an outdoor patio with a firepit, seating and a lovely view of the Farmington Valley.

Gaines Dance Barn

This newly renovated studio space is flooded with large windows letting in natural light opposite a wall of mirrors reflecting a dancers’ every move. The studio is equipped with state-of-the-art technology including adjustable stage lighting, a high-quality sound system and a wireless microphone system.

M. Burch Tracy Ford Library

The Ford Library is two stories with ample, cozy, well-appointed spaces for both small and large groups. With six classrooms, six small study rooms, a gas fireplace, seating and tables to be configured as you need, all nestled in with our large collection of books!

Oaklea, Kiki & Maple Fields

Bring it to the fields!
Oaklea: NCAA regulation turf field hockey field.
Kiki: NCAA regulation synthetic turf field for soccer and lacrosse.
Maple: Synthetic NFHS turf, also set up for lacrosse and soccer.

Pool & Squash Building

An eight-lane, 25-yard pool seats 200 fans for both athletic competition and recreational water sport. Eight state-of-the-art regulation squash courts are also available for training and competing. In addition, there is a beautiful interior space with an outside patio, perfect for smaller events.

Sharp House

The historical Sharp House is a newly renovated multipurpose space perfect for hosting business meetings, class or other small gatherings.

Barbara Lang Hacker ‘29 Theater & Nona Evans Room

The Hacker Theater is our main auditorium adjoining the Nona Evans Room which opens up to our outdoor amphitheater. With a 330-seat capacity, it is equipped with state-of-the-art technology including adjustable stage lighting, high-quality sound system, wireless microphone system, a large screen and projector.

Lodging

Available in our air conditioned dorms, including daily housekeeping services for a per person fee.

Dining

Dining and catering services available through FLIK Independent School Dining. Meals are served in our newly renovated dining hall with seating for up to 400 people.

Technology

We offer tech assistance and an audio visual support technician.
