9th Grade Class Program Day
We are excited to announce “Fall for Family” — Miss Porter’s virtual Family Weekend. Please enjoy this special message from Dr. Windsor announcing this special event that will span through the month of October and into November.
In the face of a global pandemic, a much anticipated U.S. Presidential election, escalating racial tension, staggering inequality, inflammatory and divisive rhetoric, and violence around the globe, it is more important than ever that we focus in on one particular element of our mission – educating young women to become informed.
The Global Studies Certificate is a path through which students develop cross-cultural knowledge and communication skills, as well as the ability to think critically about global change with a deeper understanding of the interconnected and interdependent nature of our world.
The GSS is free to students and meets on the following Saturdays: 10/17, 10/24, 10/31 and post election on 11/7. Speakers will include experts in journalism, foreign correspondence, race and gender studies, social change and innovators exploring a new electoral system. There will also be a Winter and Spring GSS, topics to be released soon!
