Beckwith, Lee

Penn Fellow T.I.E

Lee Beckwith is a Penn Fellow who teaches technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship as well as humanities. They studied computer science and environmental justice at the Claremont Colleges and are currently pursuing their M.S.Ed. at the University of Pennsylvania.
In their classes, Lee seeks to blur the boundaries between disciplines; they believe that no knowledge exists in a vacuum. They hope to encourage their students to take full responsibility over their learning and follow their innate curiosities and passions. On campus, Lee is a dorm affiliate and a faculty advisor for the Gender & Sexuality Hub. One thing they love about Porter’s is the tight-knit community. Outside of teaching, Lee enjoys reading and writing poetry, taking care of their many houseplants, and drinking tea.
