Taylor Braswell graduated from Williams College with a B.A. in English. She teaches Humanities and is currently pursuing her master’s in education at the University of Pennsylvania.
As a Williams student, Taylor worked extensively in residential life as a junior advisor for first-year students. She also served as an admissions ambassador – an experience that only added to her enthusiasm for working with college-bound students.
At Porter’s, Taylor’s goal is to help students become who they want to be and find joy amid personal and academic challenges. She believes that brilliance is ubiquitous and strives to remind her students of their inherent worth. She has found that Porter’s students are caring, outspoken, and passionate about shaping their school.
When she is not in the classroom, Taylor can often be found reflecting on the works of James Baldwin, Audre Lorde, and bell hooks. She also enjoys movies, R&B music, and creative manicures.
