Mary Jo “MJ” Moulton is the chair of the Science and Technology Department and the head JV field hockey coach.
 
MJ teaches several courses in the Science and Technology Department and specializes in advanced biology. To help ensure that students will thrive in their studies, MJ develops curricula that are individualized and relevant to their lives.
 
Her background in anthropology and evolutionary biology allows her to approach the teaching of biology from the perspective of how we can better understand our bodies, our direct relationship with the biosphere, and the ways our current cultural, political, and economic systems impact scientific research.
 
In her spare time, MJ can often be found in her garden or out on the beautiful Farmington River, fly-fishing with her husband and daughter.
