Accessibility

Over the past several years, we have made many improvements to make campus more accessible for those of various needs. Main now has permanent ramps in the front as well as lifts, paths have been made wider and smoother, and Sarah Lane became a campus throughway reserved for mainly pedestrians.

During Grandparents and Grandfriends Day there will be accessible parking reserved in all of our parking areas, as well as two parking areas (The Alumnae & Development Office Parking Lot and the Upper Sarah Lane Lot) specifically dedicated to accessible parking.

We will also have golf carts and drivers available throughout the day to chauffeur guests around campus as needed.

In addition to being the registration location, The Dr. Glenda Newell-Harris ’71 Student Center will serve as a gathering place for grandparents and grandfriends throughout the day. So, if you would like to take a few moments to ruminate on the class that you just attended with your MPS student, grab a cup of coffee, or simply enjoy the view from the café area, feel free to pop into the student center at any point.

If you have any questions or specific accessibility issues that you would like to discuss prior to your visit, please feel free to contact parentrelations@missporters.org or call 860-409-3634.
