We wish Joanne Conlogue, affectionately known to most as “JoCo,” all the best in her retirement as she finished her last day at Miss Porter’s School (MPS) on July 16th, completing an impressive 34 years of service. Joanne has worked at MPS since August 1987 and has supported school through the leadership of Rachel Belash, Burch Ford, and Kate Windsor.
In her role as assistant to the Office of Student life (OSL), Joanne has always been “resilient, dedicated and thoughtful” and was commonly referred to as “the glue that holds the OSL (and many other aspects of school life) together.”
Her former colleagues share that in her free time Joanne is an avid quilter and a venerated toffee confectioner who also delights in buying presents for her “grandpuppies.”
“Miss Porter’s School is an incredible school and I feel fortunate to have been a part of it for the last 34 years!” Joanne said. “I have enjoyed seeing our students grow, lead and graduate from MPS with the knowledge and desire to shape a changing world.”
As Joanne closes this life chapter and steps into a new one, she hopes to be able to join a cuddler volunteer program at a nearby hospital.
